Robert Guevara Community Center
Kissimmee, FL
The Robert Guevara Center was a 20 year old structure that had served the community well over its lifetime. Bumpus & Associates was commissioned to design a 2,917 SF addition to the existing 6,474 SF building, including a complete makeover of both the interior and exterior of the building. The existing lobby and restroom area was removed and replaced by a larger, more user friendly space which also included new accessible restrooms and a family restroom. An addition to the rear of the building includes an exercise room/ dance studio separated from the large multi-purpose assembly room so that the two spaces can be used simultaneously. The new configuration also contains meeting rooms which will now be accessible without having to pass through the large activity room.
