Orlando Chinese Evangelical Church
Casselberry, FL
Our involvement with the Orlando Chinese Evangelical Church began in 2016 with basic inquiries into the development process and officially started in late 2018 with a contract for services. The design was completed in March of 2019 with bids received in May of 2019. Due to a lengthy permitting process, construction began November of 2019 and completed in April of 2020. The building, approximately 4,000 SF, is located on the existing church site and is consists of 9 Sunday School classrooms with folding partitions that can convert three of the classrooms into one large classroom. Additional parking was added along with site upgrades that included new landscaping and clearing of overgrown areas of vegetation. The building is concrete block with stucco, wood trusses with a shingle roof, and luxury vinyl tile for flooring throughout. The cost of the building and site work totaled $685,000 and was built by Arnco Construction of St. Cloud.
Solid Rock
Kissimmee, FL
Solid Rock Church is a 10,000 SF, 365 seat sanctuary that was added to the campus to take the place of an older, smaller sanctuary space. The new building contains the sanctuary, administrative offices, choir practice room, and a nursery. The building structure is a pre-engineered metal building with stucco and stone exterior materials.
Community Presbyterian
Celebration, FL
We designed an addition to the Celebration Community Presbyterian Church in Celebration, Florida. The projects consisted of a 2,000 SF space adjacent to the main sanctuary. The doors connecting the spaces can be opened to accommodate overflow seating. The space is also separated by folding partitions to offer the option of one large room or three smaller rooms. A catering kitchen is part of the new space.
First Baptist Family Life Center
Kissimmee, FL
This project consisted of the design of a new family life center located in Kissimmee at the existing campus of First Baptist Church. The main function of the building is to provide the youth of the Church adequate space to hold all their activities. The major spaces include a full-size gymnasium, two floors of classroom and youth worship space, and a first floor lounge for gathering. The total area of the building is 25,000 SF. The gymnasium and first floor were completed in 2010 with the second floor completed in early 2015.
Centro Cristiano Dios de Pactos
Kissimmee, FL
This church, located on Simmons Road in Kissimmee, was built with efficiency and future development in mind. At B&A Architecture, we believe that cost efficiency doesn't have to sacrifice quality design... but becomes a challenge to maximize impact while minimizing expense. The initial phase of the Church is 8,000 SF with a future expansion planned.
Church of Christ
Kissimmee, FL
This church, built in the 1980's, had outgrown the capacity in the sanctuary for Sunday services. A front addition was designed that included new restrooms, a nursery, and an entrance. The existing restrooms and foyer were demolished in order to increase the seating capacity from 80 to 130. Also added were 4 Sunday school classrooms to the rear of the building. The roof was replaced and the entire building repainted. The end result is a very striking appearance for a building that needed some attention. The 1,540 SF addition brought the total area to 4,900 SF. The building remained in use throughout the construction period and was completed in 2014.
